Associate Pastor Josh Kim

Pastor Josh was born in South Korea and immigrated with his family to the States when he was 10 years old. A graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with an accounting degree, he worked as a business analyst for 4 years before pursuing his call into the pastoral ministry.  After receiving his MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary, he pastored in various immigrant Korean-American churches as youth, assistant and lead pastors before joining the staff of Christ Central Church. 

Josh is a 1.5 Generation, meaning he is a child of immigrant parents. So he always feels the tension as well as the beauty of the two cultures intermixing and coexisting in his life. His vision is to see every race and ethnicity celebrated as God's divine design in the local church. 

He loves reading and especially enjoys discussing the latest New York Times bestsellers with others. Josh is married to Lyn, who was born and raised in South Florida (Gator fanatic). They are parents to their energetic and inquisitive son, Seth.  As an aspiring audio engineer, you will see Seth hanging around the sound booth on Sunday mornings.
